Launching a Mentoring Program: where do we start?

There are five components that are typically considered when launching a new mentorship program.

  1. Mission. Why should this mentorship program exist? How does it fit organizational or community needs?

  2. Format. How structured or unstructured is this program going to be? How is scheduling and participant matching going work?

  3. Pilot launch. What’s the launch agenda for the pilot program? How are your initial mentors and mentees are going to be recruited and onboarded?

  4. Impact. How are you going to measure your program’s success?

  5. Resources. What resources are going to be included in the playbooks for both mentors and mentees?

Working through these components could be a great start for your team to draft a strategic plan for the mentorship program you are considering. Traction5 team will be excited to help facilitate and guide this discussion for your organization. Contact us to explore this further.
